Editing sentences at different levels

Course details

Suggested timeline: 24–36 months into editing

Total time: Approx. 3 hours

Course description

This course lets you know how different editors may edit a given sentence to different “levels,” based on their own idea of perfection. Over 40 examples are used to drive home the practical reality of this point.

These discussions will let you know where you stand and what areas you need to work on to become better.

This course may also have a subtle practical utility. To what extent should you edit a manuscript, given a certain time and pricing? Answers to questions such as these can also be learned by a careful study of these examples illustrating different levels of editing.
